What are white spot lesions on teeth?
White spot lesions are early signs of enamel demineralisation — areas where the tooth surface has lost minerals and become more porous than the surrounding enamel. They commonly appear as post-orthodontic marks after braces, as the earliest stage of decay, or from developmental causes such as fluorosis. As well as weakening the tooth, white spots stand out against your natural smile and can affect your confidence.
